Sat 7 April teaching – Meditation on Avalokiteshvara

On Saturday 7 April Ven Kunsang Choephel will give a free teaching on the topic of Meditation on Avalokiteshvara at the International Buddhist Academy at Tinchuli near Boudha.

The Avalokiteshvara Mantra is Om Ma Ni Pad Me Hum. The Mantra has six syllables. Those six syllables represent the six Buddha families. Through practising the Mantra one is purified of the six negative emotions. Those six negative emotions are the cause of being reborn in the six realms. If one can abandon the six negative emotions, there is no more Samsara.
