We are pleased to announce a webcast of the Saturday morning teaching on March 9th by the Venerable Kunsang Choephel titled ‘Meditation on Vajrasattva’ at the International Buddhist Academy, in Kathmandu. The Venerable Kunsang Choephel is becoming widely appreciated for the clarity and approachability of his teachings, which are given in English. Registration for the webcast of the teaching is now open at www.gompaservices.com. Registration and viewing will be available until March 25th. The webcast:
The Venerable Kunsang Choephel will teach on the method and benefits of meditating on Vajrasattva. In the context of the preliminary practices, in preparation for entering the Vajrayana (tantric) path, meditation on Vajrasattva and recitation of Vajrasattva’s hundred-syllable mantra is said to be a powerful, requisite method for purifying one’s mind of the resonances of previous negative karma and accelerating one’s preparedness for fulfilling the aims of the Vajrayana path, that is, for developing all-encompassing compassion and realisation of the ultimate nature of mind for the benefit of others.
The teaching will be recorded live and be available to view by the end of the day (Nepal time). The webcast will then remain available for you to view at any time of your choosing until March 25th.
The Gompa Services registration fee for the webcast is £4.00, or free for Gompa member-supporters. At the time you register you will also have the option to make a voluntary donation in support of the International Buddhist Academy.
