Sat 1 June teaching at IBA with Ven Kunsang Choephel

On Saturday 1 June Ven Kunsang will teach on the topic of ‘Meditation on Om Mani Padme Hum’ – the six-syllable mantra of Avalokiteshvara: Om Ma-Ni Pad-Me Hum. Avalokiteshvara is the embodiment of the compassion of all the Buddhas, as visualised in the form of a meditational deity. The six syllables represent the perfected, purified states of the six negative emotions (pride, jealousy/self-centred ambition, attachment, delusion, greed/miserliness and anger/hatred). The six negative emotions are the cause of being reborn into the six realms of cyclic existence. If one can abandon the six negative emotions, then liberation from cyclic existence can be achieved. The teaching is in English and is free. There is time for questions and discussions at the end. Arrive at 9am for tea. Please phone Ven Kunsang on 980 337 2212
for more information.
