The term bardo (intermediate state) refers to the key phases of life and death: the intermediate state of living, the intermediate state of meditative concentration, the intermediate state of dreams, the intermediate state of the time of death, the intermediate state of reality, and the intermediate state of rebirth. During each of these phases, the consciousness of a person has particular experiential qualities, and corresponding to these qualities of experience there are specific meditative techniques conducive ideally to the realisation of the ultimate nature of mind and phenomena (enlightenment) or at least to a favourable rebirth.
The Venerable Khenpo Kunsang Choephel, a senior teacher at the International Buddhist Academy, is becoming widely appreciated for the clarity and approachability of his introductory teachings on key topics.
Each day of the teaching is recorded live and will be available to view by the end of the day on July 17th, 18th and 19th, Nepal time. The entire teaching will then remain available for you to view at any time of your choosing until August 17th, 2020.
