IBA celebrates full moon day

Full moon prayers. IBA joined millions around the world in celebrating and offering prayers on the special occasion of the super blue full moon with an eclipse. The Boudha area of Kathmandu was packed as thousands came to do kora and offer prayers around the Stupa with spectacular views of the moon and the eclipse from IBA and Nepal. It was the first time in 35 years that a blue moon (the second full moon in a calendar month) has synced up with a supermoon and a total lunar eclipse, or blood moon because of its red hue. The same combination will not happen again until 2037.
