Sakya Monlam and Khenchen Appey Rinpoche’s Parinirvana

The Great SIMG_0812akya Monlam for World Peace is being held in Bodhgaya for the second time since moving its location from Lumbini. Situated under the Bodhi tree, with His Holiness Ratna Vajra Rinpoche and His Eminence Gyana Vajra Rinpoche presiding over the thousands of Sangha and lay devotees attending, the scene was inspiring and blissful.

In addition, the Monlam coincided with the Eighth Parinirnava anniversary of Khenchen Appey Rinpoche, with ceremonies being held on December 29, jointly organised by IBA and Sakya College.
