On 24th January, 2022, IBA celebrated the 11th Anniversary of our Guru Khenchen Appey Rinpoche. This auspicious day is also known as the Threefold Memory Day as it coincides with the anniversaries of Drogon Choegyal Phakpa and Deshung Ajam Rinpoche. On request, HE 27th Chogye Trichen Rinpoche kindly consented to preside, with Deshung Tulku Rinpoche and Tharig Tulku Rinpoche also participating. Each of the Sakya monasteries and nunneries in the Kathmandu Valley were invited to send ten senior Sangha members.
Sapan Lachod, Guru Tsok Offering Puja, was performed by all.
In the evening, IBA Sangha chanted aspiration prayers led by Khenpo Ngawang Jorden in front of the memorial stupa of Khenchen Appey Rinpoche amidst an array of offering lights, lamps and flowers.
