The webcast:
The Venerable Khenpo Kunsang Choephel will give an introduction to the Tibetan Buddhist perspective on death and dying. In this context the Tibetan term ‘bardo’ refers to an intermediate period of time between death and rebirth, during which our consciousness is said to undergo a series of transitional experiential states. Corresponding to these experiential states, specific meditative techniques are taught which are conducive to achieving liberation from cyclic existence. Venerable Kunsang Choephel will talk about how to prepare for death according to the Tibetan Buddhist tradition and will also review the modern scientific view of death compared with the Tibetan Buddhist view.
The teaching will be recorded live and be available to view by the end of the day (Nepal time). The webcast will then remain available for you to view at any time of your choosing until November 20th.
